Established in 2012, your dog is in safe, experienced hands at Focus Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services. Small group dog walks are led by me, an IMDT Professional Dog Walking certified and experienced dog walker. I'm also an ABTC registered Animal Training Instructor. I serve Shipley, Saltaire and surrounding areas. Focus Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services offers an unparalleled level of canine knowledge, expertise and care. Your dog's safety and well-being is at the heart of the service I offer.

My name is Pippa and I've been working with dogs since I was around 9 years old.

Your dog's experience matters to me. Small group dog walks allows me to really get to know your individual dog; their likes and dislikes, things they find exciting or worrying, how they are likely to behave at any given point.

Each dog's personality and needs are assessed before they join a walk, with on-going assessment to ensure every walk is fulfilling and enriching.

Walks are allocated based on your dog's individual needs. This remains the same each week so that your dog can feel safe and secure without having the potential stress of navigating new friendships on every walk. This enables your dog to bond not only with me but also their canine companions.

On a walk with me your dog is given individual attention, encouragement and lots of praise. I include enrichment activities and fun training activities. We are a little unit of fun.

All dogs are treated with respect, compassion and kindness.

I train an auto-recall for my off-lead clients to encourage your dog to keep within a safe distance to me, this helps us to stay respectful of others sharing the same space.

My phone is for emergency use only. I do not take photos of dogs whilst I'm walking. I feel all my attention should be on my dogs in my care.

I do not use flexi-leads on any walks.

As a Canine Arthritis Advocate your dog will be exercised in a way that protects their joints at each point of their development and into their senior years.

I am fully insured for all services I provide and hold an up-to-date DBS certificate (criminal record check).

As Dog Law Certified walker/trainer I am aware of all my legal obligations, including how your dog is transported. In compliance with The Animal Welfare (Transport) Order 2006 each dog has their own individual crate within my well-ventilated, air-conditioned van. Each crate is lined with easy to disinfect anti-slip mat so travelling with me is hygienic, comfortable and safe. Water is always available.
